Accessibility

The Roman Baths

Six metres below street level, there are unfortunately a number of steps throughout the site. We have three enclosed lifts and one platform lift and handrails in many places, but to access the entire site, you will still need to climb some steps. Please make staff aware that you have limited mobility, and they will direct you to the most accessible route.

Lifts are available and 90% of the site is accessible to wheelchair users. Visitors with hearing or visual impairments are able to enjoy the site using sign language audio guides.

Victoria Art Gallery

Level access is via a ramped entrance on Bridge Street. A lift is available with space for one wheelchair at a time. Pressing a button on the outside of the building in Bridge Street automatically opens the doors for wheelchair users. There is an accessible toilet on the first floor.

Fashion Museum

The building is accessible to wheelchair users. There is level access to the ground floor Assembly Rooms and a wheelchair is available for use. There is a lift from the ground floor to the Fashion Museum on the lower ground floor, and an emergency exit ramp. There is also an accessible toilet on the lower ground floor.
